2 Month Dr. Visit
We visited Dr. Beaty's office this week for Connor's 2 month check up. He is 8 lbs 2 oz and has almost made it onto the growth charts! He had to get 3 shots which was no fun, but he is doing fine now. He really likes grape Tylenol.
He has outgrown most of his newborn outfits and is now wearing 0-3 month size clothes. He also graduated from newborn to size one diapers this week.
He had a busy week attending Great Grandma Louise's 80th birthday party, meeting Great Grandma Holmes and visiting Bradley University for the first time. We can't wait for the weather to warm up so we can get out and go for walks.

Growing!
Connor is growing so much. Last Monday he weighed in at 5 lbs 13 oz! I am sure he passed the 6 lb mark last week. His doctor said that he is doing really well. He gave me permission to increase the nursing to 3-4 feedings a day instead of only 2. This has freed up so much time now that I no longer need to make a bottle, feed him and then pump for the next feeding every single time. He is hoping that in just one more week we can stop adding extra calories to the milk and Connor will be allowed to nurse full time! The doctor also gave us permission to take Connor places with us as long as lots of people don't touch him. It was nice to take him to church for the first time on Sunday and see a lot of people I have not seen in 2 months.
He graduated out of his little car bed and is now riding in his car seat. I think he really likes it. He always falls right to sleep when we drive. He is also starting to have a lot more awake time during the days. I have been able to read him several books and he lays on his activity mat and looks up at the toys. He doesn't reach for them yet, but he does look at them when you move them. He is also a big fan of his swing. He is sitting in there listing to music right now while I type. I think his favorite thing to do right now is cuddle which is really fun. He loves being held. He also likes bath time.
Hobie and Mario are slowly adjusting to life with a baby in their house. Hobie seems to be doing really well and she mostly ignores him unless he is crying really loud, then she runs over to us and looks at me as if to say "aren't you going to do something about this!" Mario is pretty sad lately. If animals can get depressed, I think Mario may be struggling with a mild case because he looks so sad all day. He follows us all over the house and then just lays on the floor and watches everything happen. He doesn't get up on our laps much anymore and I have found him on the table way too many times this week. He just isn't himself. When I am feeding Connor at 2am, Mario's favorite place to be is on the changing table.
